After the sudden loss of my wife, I have come to truly understand the universal nature of loss in all aspects of our time on this planet. Simple #14 (Like This and the Nature of Things to Come) is about the act of maintaining a mindful acceptance of our present state to overcome loss. Simple #14 (Like This and the Nature of Things to Come) visually explores how easily our past experiences and our anticipation of what may come can govern our perspective on our present. Our present state always seems to get lost in our worry over regrets of the past or anxiety of what may happen. This work is a subtle, optimistic piece that focuses on the importance of everyday actions as we try to recover from an onslaught of pain over the losses in our lives, no matter how big or small.
